11.10		Matthew will be visiting Barbados this week as a part of a ministry mission trip led by Canadian Gospel/Country musician Denis Grady and the group Franciscan and Friends. Those participating in the tour will be presenting a series of concerts for charity, as well as participating in a variety of service-oriented projects. 10.20		Matthew Baute and Annie Karto will be providing the music for the upcoming OSMM Conference (Our Sorrowful Mother's Ministry) being held in Vandalia, IL. 9.8		World Library Publications (WLP) has published their new 2009 Fall catalog and is pleased to announce that the new Lyric and Chord Books for all of Matthew's CDs will soon be available. These new companion books will provide any music leader/musician with the essential tools to perform Matthew's compositions, including the music on his most recent CD, "River of Grace". These songs are ideal for ministering at contemplative liturgies, Eucharistic Adoration, or for personal reflection and healing.
8.5		Matthew Baute is pleased to announce he has begun work on his next CD recording, an instrumental project to be titled "HARMONY AND BALANCE". This new CD is inspired by the notion that life can be so much more rewarding when we don't complicate it. Matthew hopes this album will help you to relax and live in the "now" instead of worrying about "tomorrow". The music on the project will be a blend of both acoustic guitar and piano compositions. 7.15		Matthew was interviewed live on air this morning on Portland, Oregon's Catholic radio station KBVM. Host Dina Marie spent an hour with Matthew discussing his ministry and music, sharing the song "It Is Mercy" with her listeners, and also asking Matthew about the Living Rosary CD project, as the station has a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother.
6.9		Matthew Baute hits the #1 spot this week with his song IT IS MERCY (from the CD 'River of Grace') on the Top 10 at 10 countdown with "Rockin' Ron", broadcast on KBCU Radio in Bethel, KS, and syndicated on several other stations. Rockin' Ron's weekly Top 10 at 10 countdown (voted on by his supporting listeners) is featured on his Saturday night Christian radio show and streams live via radio and webcast each week. Rockin' Ron heard the song IT IS MERCY when Matthew performed it LIVE at the 2009 KCCM Awards held in Kansas City in April. He introduced it to his listening audience a few weeks later and it quickly raced up the chart.
6.3		Catholic.net and CatholicExchange.com are just two more sites that recently picked up the featured article about Matthew that was introduced by Susan Bailey, editor for Grapevine Magazine. This article focuses on Matthew's journey in music ministry from the vocational perspective.

The interview discusses Matthew's vocation as a music missionary and also the release of his current CD, "River of Grace". Catholic Moments podcast is syndicated and posted on websites including CatholicExchange.com, MyCatholicVoice.com, FaithandFamilyLive.com, and 4marks.com.
4.20		Matthew Baute was recognized as the award recipient for INSPIRATIONAL Artist of the Year at the 2009 KCCM Awards held at Mid-America Nazarene University in the Kansas City area on Saturday, April 18. This is the first-time award for Matthew, who was also invited to perform a new song from his recent CD titled RIVER OF GRACE at the multi-faith awards presentation and concert event. 3.2		Matthew earned a 2009 KCCM Award nomination in the category of INSPIRATIONAL Artist of the Year. The KCCM Awards are an ecumenical event presented annually in the Kansas City area, with artists recognized in a variety of categories. The event is called "The Concert of Friends" and awards are handed out throughout the evening. Matthew Baute has been invited to perform at the event this year being held on April 18 at the Bell Cultural Center at Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, KS.

11.4		Matthew Baute recently had the opportunity to perform at the 2008 UNITY AWARDS, presented by the UCMVA in New Orleans, LA. The theme of the awards celebration this year was "Rejoicing New Orleans' Renaissance". Matthew performed his song YOU ANSWER ME from his 2007 Unity Award-winning CD "Hold Me, Lord" – watch a video of Matthew's performance on the video page.
10.13		Matthew participated in the School of Evangelization program held at the Cardinal Rigali Center, sponsored by the Archdiocese of St. Louis and presented by Renewal Ministries. Matthew led the music ministry team during the four day event and had the privilege of singing for Bishop Hermann, who celebrated the opening Mass. Certainly a spiritually rewarding week for Matthew and a wonderful opportunity for him to introduce his music ministry to religious leaders from throughout his diocese. 9.22		Matthew Baute joined Annie Karto and Mattie Henry recently to provide music for the Eucharist Divine Mercy Family Conference, drawing attendees from throughout the Diocese of Salt Lake City, and as far away as California, Wyoming, and Montana. The event was held in beautiful Park City, Utah. 8.1		Matthew recently participated in the North Central Catholic Family Conference held at Elgin Community College in Elgin, IL. Alongside Catholic music minister Annie Karto, Matthew sang for the 4pm Holy Mass with Bishop Doran. The theme of the event this year was "The Universal Call to Holiness". This conference is an all-ages event sponsored by the Office of Family Life.
7.25		Matthew Baute was recently featured in a radio interview on the Chicago Catholic Community of Faith Radio Show. Hosted by Fr. Greg Sakowicz, pastor, St. Mary of the Woods, and various co-hosts, the program is heard on Mondays and most Fridays at 9:00 a.m. on Relevant Radio 950 AM, and now is PODCASTING! Catholic Community of Faith presents news and information about the Archdiocese of Chicago, its ministries, agencies and services while exploring topics of faith from the Catholic perspective. 6.6		Matthew was recently invited to be a guest on "Catholic Mornings" with Gary & Michelle Gersin on 1360WWOW based in Conneaut, OH. Listeners heard clips from Matthew's current CD and also got to hear about developments in his music ministry, including plans for his new CD project and a new focus on Divorce Recovery.
5.31		Matthew Baute music hits the radio airwaves! Matthew was recently interviewed by EWTN Global Radio Network at the RBTE (Religious Booksellers Trade Expo) Conference in Chicago. Matthew was interviewed by program director Thom Price and performed a LIVE acoustic version of "YOU ANSWER ME (Psalm 4)" from his CD "HOLD ME, LORD" for the EWTN worldwide audience.
4.6		Matthew has been invited to perform at the upcoming Religious Booksellers Trade Exhibit, to be held May 27-30 in the Chicago area. The focus of the RBTE is to provide a gathering for the religious marketplace for Catholic, Episcopal and other liturgical traditions.
3.3		Matthew Baute's song "HOLD ME, LORD" was recently selected to be included on a new compilation CD titled "THROUGH THE EYES OF GOD" created by WLP (World Library Publications) to commemorate the 2008 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress. The CD includes the theme song for RECongress performed by Cliff Petty, as well as songs by other WLP artists such as John Angotti, Noelle Garcia, Michael John Poirier, and Danielle Rose. 2.11		Matthew is pleased to announce the release of his new slideshow video set to the song HOLD ME, LORD — the title track from his Unity Award-winning CD of the same name, published by World Library Publications. This video features powerful images that convey the deep yearning people have to experience a real relationship with the living God. The video will be incorporated into Matthew's live concert ministry, and can be viewed on the new VIDEO PAGE in addition to popular sites such as YOUTUBE, GODTUBE, MYSPACE and LOVETOBECATHOLIC.com.
1.21		Matthew Baute recently received an invitation to attend the 10th Annual Liturgical Composer’s Forum, sponsored by the Center for Liturgy at Saint Louis University. This was quite an honor for Matthew as many notable liturgical composers, speakers and educators will be in attendance. The conference will be held January 28-31st.

11.12		Matthew Baute has signed on with the CMG Booking Agency, a group that boasts a wealth of talent on its speaking and musician roster. Matthew feels honored to be working with an agency like CMG, and he is excited to be a part of their team.
11.1		Matthew Baute and fellow Catholic music missionary Annie Karto have released a Rosary CD in tribute to Fr. Peter Rookey, priest of 66 years who has touched countless souls with his special healing charism. For everyone who has requested a recording of the recitation of the rosary that Matthew and Annie lead at Our Sorrowful Mother's Ministry retreats, it's finally here! The CD includes a new song from Matthew titled "River of Grace", with all proceeds benefitting OSMM.
10.22		Matthew returned today from a week of ministry on the Caribbean island of Curacao, a place of great natural beauty and interesting culture. He gave three sessions of music ministry training to youth workers and religion teachers, and also appeared on the live morning TV program "Moru Bondia" ("good morning" in the local Papiamento language). The weekend ended with Matthew singing several songs at a Sunday evening Mass at a local parish, followed by a prayer concert to a packed church. View pictures from this wonderful adventure.
10.7		What a blessing! Matthew Baute recently received the 2007 UNITY AWARD for Praise & Worship ALBUM of the Year for HOLD ME, LORD presented by the UCMVA (United Catholic Music & Video Association). Although Matthew was unable to attend the awards this year due to a scheduling conflict, he is honored to be recognized for his efforts on this project and thanks all who supported him with their votes of encouragement.

8.6		What an honor! Matthew just received a personal invitation to collaborate with Michael John Poirier on music for the Contemplative Liturgy at the 2008 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress (February 28-March 1, 2008). The selected theme for the conference is "Lift Your Gaze, See Anew . . . . Alza Tu Mirada, Vuelve A Mirar!"
7.9		Lighthouse Catholic Media has chosen Matthew's upbeat P&W song "Sing Out and Praise" to be included on an upcoming compilation CD of Catholic music. All royalties will be donated to the Brothers and Sisters of Charity.
7.1		Matthew's ministry team is growing! He is excited to be working with Nashville-based Albie Entertainment on PR, promotions, and partnerships. Pray for them as they continue to work together to find creative ways to bring God's healing through song to a new audience of listeners and churches.

5.10		Matthew is in the process of developing new workshops for presentation at the diocesan and parish level. After praying about what God wanted him to share based on his own lived experiences, Matthew has come up with talks on vocational discernment, the gift of annulment, and Eucharistic healing. All three talks will incorporate songs, stories, and Scripture.
4.21		Matthew had the opportunity to appear on Portland, OR, Catholic radio station KBVM 88.3 FM last week as a guest during their Spring Sharathon, helping to raise funds for the station. Listeners who pledged support during the hour were given copies of his "Hold Me, Lord" CD.

11.29		Check out this video that a very talented young artist, Thad Winker, put together of the Passion, using an instrumental version of Matthew's new song 'Pour Out'.
10.12		Matthew's contemplative song "In The Silence" will be included on Spirit Wing Records' Catholic Music 2007 compilation CD. This will be a 2 CD set with lots of great music from artists all over North America, and will be released on the Feast of St. Cecilia (Nov 22).
8.8		Recording on the new project has begun! Matthew spent four days at a studio in the beautiful Indiana countryside (cornfields and Amish buggies) with David Smith, knocking out lead vocals for four tracks. Matthew heads to Steubenville, OH, later in the month to work on additional tracks with producer Mike Ofca.
6.7		Matthew is heading into the studio in August to begin work on CD #2. He will be working with Mike Ofca of Innovation Studios and Dave Smith of Icon Music Studios. These two producers have worked with a wide variety of Christian artists, creating great music that has reached the thousands of listeners across the country.
5.4		The XLT Anniversary event with Fr. Stan was a big success. A large crowd of nearly 500 turned out to help celebrate the growth of Eucharistic Adoration in the St Louis area. Watch a tribute video of different people wishing XLT happy birthday, including Archbishop Raymond Burke, Bishop Hermann, and the REAP team.
2.10		Fr. Stan Fortuna is coming to St. Louis! He will be joining us for a concert and Eucharistic adoration at an Archdiocesan-wide XLT at CBC High School on Wednesday, May 3rd, starting at 6:30pm. This will be an amazing night, and you don't want to miss it! Plus it's free! Matthew will be co-leading worship music with Karl Zimmerman.
2.8		Catholic FamilyLand TV Network (Sky Angel on DishNetwork) will be airing a new "His Love" program featuring Matthew Baute and friends. Songs include "Love Wins All," "In The Silence," and "Take Me". Air-times: 2/19 5pm, 2/22 1am, 2/24 10pm and 2/25 11:30am.
1.1		Friday, January 20th is the send off for the annual March for Life in Washington, DC. Matthew has the privilege of playing drums in the 'Life Really Matters' house band. This should be an awesome weekend, helping to build the Culture of Life!

12.30		Videos of four songs are on Google Video, shot at Catholic FamilyLand this past July. Matthew and friends sing "Come To Me", "Future Full of Hope", "Sing Out and Praise", and "Take Me".
12.7		Matthew is busy writing the songs for his 2nd album, which will include a remake of the Catholic classic "Be Not Afraid" (with a surprise twist), a new Mass setting that he has been playing during Advent at his home church, and a song based on the Canticle of Zechariah (Luke 1:68-79).
11.25		EWTN Global Catholic Radio program Catholic Jukebox aired a feature on the hurricane relief "Future Full of Hope" compilation CD, with an interview with Matthew.
11.15		The journey, the battle, the victory, the role that is mine to play... "Epic Reality" retreat a big success! Teens from four St. Louis-area parishes got together for a weekend of holy adventure at the Lifeteen camp west of St. Louis. Matthew teamed up with Karl Zimmerman to provide the music. Karl's theme song was a big hit!
10.15		National and local Catholic musicians united for a Hurricane Katrina relief concert in St. Louis, MO. Kitty Cleveland and Kara Klein of Mandeville, LA, and Ryan Meyers of Hattiesburg, MS, shared personal testimonies of how their lives have been directly affected. Also sharing their musical gifts: Fade 2 White, Daniel diSilva of Crispin, Chris Shepherd Band, Karl Zimmerman, and Matthew Baute. A beautiful time of Eucharistic Adoration closed the evening. All proceeds benefitted Catholic Charities.
