Matthew Baute is pleased to announce he has begun work on his next CD recording, an instrumental project to be titled "HARMONY AND BALANCE". This new CD is inspired by the notion that life can be so much more rewarding when we don't complicate it. Matthew Baute hits the #1 spot this week with his song IT IS MERCY (from the CD 'River of Grace') on the Top 10 at 10 countdown with "Rockin' Ron", broadcast on KBCU Radio in Bethel, KS, and syndicated on several other stations. Rockin' Ron's weekly Top 10 at 10 countdown (voted on by his supporting listeners) is featured on his Saturday night Christian radio show and streams live via radio and webcast each week. Rockin' Ron heard the song IT IS MERCY when Matthew performed it LIVE at the 2009 KCCM Awards held in Kansas City in April. He introduced it to his listening audience a few weeks later and it quickly raced up the chart. |

Matthew participated in the School of Evangelization program held at the Cardinal Rigali Center, sponsored by the Archdiocese of St. Louis and presented by Renewal Ministries. Matthew led the music ministry team during the four day event and had the privilege of singing for Bishop Hermann, who celebrated the opening Mass. Certainly a spiritually rewarding week for Matthew and a wonderful opportunity for him to introduce his music ministry to religious leaders from throughout his diocese. Matthew Baute joined Annie Karto and Mattie Henry recently to provide music for the Eucharist Divine Mercy Family Conference, drawing attendees from throughout the Diocese of Salt Lake City, and as far away as California, Wyoming, and Montana. The event was held in beautiful Park City, Utah. Matthew returned today from a week of ministry on the Caribbean island of Curacao, a place of great natural beauty and interesting culture. He gave three sessions of music ministry training to youth workers and religion teachers, and also appeared on the live morning TV program "Moru Bondia" ("good morning" in the local Papiamento language). The weekend ended with Matthew singing several songs at a Sunday evening Mass at a local parish, followed by a prayer concert to a packed church. View pictures from this wonderful adventure. |

Matthew spent four days at a studio in the beautiful Indiana countryside (cornfields and Amish buggies) with David Smith, knocking out lead vocals for four tracks. Matthew heads to Steubenville, OH, later in the month to work on additional tracks with producer Mike Ofca. |

Also sharing their musical gifts: Fade 2 White, Daniel diSilva of Crispin, Chris Shepherd Band, Karl Zimmerman, and Matthew Baute. A beautiful time of Eucharistic Adoration closed the evening. All proceeds benefitted Catholic Charities. |
